Welcome to the blog for DART of Physics!

Oct 21 2013

You’re very welcome to the blog for DART of Physics!

If you haven’t already taken a look around the site, you should! Our physics darts start with statements you’ve seen on the train, and expand and explain to show you some of the science we’re so excited about. Do you know why we’re all made of stardust? Or how it is that everyone on the DART is attracted to you gravitationally? Or how travelling on the DART can keep you young? Or why the metal pole on the DART feels colder than the seat? Go on and have a look, and keep in mind the pages are interactive!

Those are the topics we’ve started with, but one of the great things about science is that you never run out of interesting tidbits to explore. So here at the blog, we’re going to go into more depth. We will look more closely at the physics of heat, gravity, relativity, and stars. And we’ll have profiles of scientists, lists of our favourite things about physics, and plenty of guest bloggers!

We’re also going to keep adding new darts in the coming weeks, so there will be more resources and fun stuff all over the site. If there are any science facts you want to hear more about, or if you have questions, or if you just want to drop us a line, you can always leave us a comment on any of the blog posts or find us on twitter. We’re always happy to hear from you!

So please, take a look around, and let us know what you think of physics. We have a lot planned here at DART of Physics, and we’d love to have you along for the ride!
